Last Saturday, Mina had her first official track meet. This year, she/we started running with a local running club, the Cascade Striders. It has been a lot of hard work and fun. In the meet, Mina ran the 50m, 100m and did the long jump. Currently, she’s more interested in track than the field events. This all came about last summer, when we needed a little healthy role modeling and she got into a pretty impressive runner named Jordan Hasay. Jordan happens to be coming to the University of Oregon in the fall, so we’ll have to try and see her compete.
Anyways, pictures of our little track star.
Cheering for others!
Warming up with Coach Richard
Race number one, 50m. How did she get so brave to run in front of those people?
Go Mina!
Race number two, 100m.
M & friend, just a tad proud of the ribbons. She also got to high-five a firefighter, which was equally a big deal to her.
Checking out the big girls.
